International Language Training Center, ILTC gathered Christmas presents for all children from the oncologic hospital, as well as for their mothers and the doctors. In addition, the ILTC students and staff collected 37906 lei which were spent on the necessary furniture for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department-as well as on the household appliances needed for the young patients and their comfort. And, most importantly, the ILTC students and staff contributed to making the children's room cozy and warm. The floor has been covered with a warm carpet and the room was filled with many toys and children's books.
On Christmas day, the most wonderful day of the year, the ILTC students and staff helped the young patients of the oncology hospital to become small fairies and wizards. The magician Marchellino gave magic wands to all the children and taught the young fairies and magicians to perform miracles.
Irina Rotar, a representative of the non-governmental organization "Children without leukemia” is also Bianca-Maria's mother, who is being treated at the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department. She said: "We are very pleased that the International Language Training Center, ILTC responded to our request and organized such a wonderful holiday with gifts and entertainment for our kids."
For many children who are being treated at the oncologic hospital, this was the first Christmas which they celebrated away from home. The aim that ILTC had was to bring light and smiles on the children's faces who are deprived of Christmas fun.
The ILTC students and staff are well aware that on Christmas and New Year everyone can bring joy, happiness and good mood to children. After all, even a small gift will be great joy for a child!
