Even if you can communicate in French rather confidently and accurately, you may still encounter situations when you need much specialised skills in French to achieve a specific goal. In such a case the General French programme may not be sufficient to meet the specific needs of learners.
ILTC offers specialised language programmes including Business French and preparation courses for international language exams - DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes de Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française).
International language exams
DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes) и DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official French proficiency tests administered by the Centre international d'études pédagogiques. They are awarded by the French Ministry of National Education to certify foreign candidates’ proficiency in French language. DELF-DALF exam centres are present in over 130 countries.
DELF and DALF standards are designed to assess the communicative skills of candidates in real situations, using authentic materials such as French songs, newspaper and magazine articles, passages from fiction books, etc. Composed of independent units the DELF and the DALF evaluate language know-how rather than formal grammatical knowledge.
Business French
It's obvious that your business results will depend not only on the number of business terms you know but mostly on how well you can understand and feel your business partner when you are on the same wavelength. Even the most experienced interpreter will not be of much help when you have to make an extremely important business decision. That is why any business person should have a thorough knowledge of Business French.
Business French programme at ILTC will suit the specific needs of any business person or professional.
The specific objectives of Business French are:
- to enrich students' key business vocabulary
- to develop and enhance the communication skills in various business life situations (interviews, negotiating, making presentations, participating in trade fairs and conferences)
- to improve the academic writing skills (e.g. writing a CV)
