The syllabus of the German for Adults and Teenagers programme is developed to meet the participants' specific needs to use the language in everyday social situations. A further focus is on communication topics which will make travelling abroad easier.
ILTC uses the Communicative Approach as the main teaching method, which means that since the very first classes of the course the teacher will speak German only avoiding the use of Russian or Romanian. Grammar and vocabulary will be studied in the process of communication when students are encouraged to actively use and speak German in various case studies and role games simulating real life situations. Along the process of enhancing the speaking skills at the German lessons, you will also develop other language skills in harmony: listening, reading, and writing.
Adults and teenagers over 14 will master the language of Goethe and Schiller using the progressive language course Themen aktuell. The language course focuses on developing the basic communication skills necessary for day to day life. Various discussions and debates on interesting thought-provoking topics, activities developing all language skills add to the language proficiency.
German for Adults and Teenagers course is split into 12 levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference.

If you are a complete Beginner, the full course of General German will take you around two years to complete. If you already speak some German, the course duration will be shorter.
Those who start learning German are recommended to take at least 4 foundation levels.
