Italian for Specific Purposes

ILTC offers several specialised language programmes including Business Italian, preparation courses for international language exams - CILS and CELI, and Italian Conversation Club.

International language exams

CILS and CELI are the world's leading certificates for Italian language learners, which can represent the degree of linguistic competency of Italian as a foreign language. Both certificates are recognized by the Italian State through the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These language certificates can be used for professional, educational and personal purposes. The CELI exams are also recognized by companies, universities and government organizations throughout the world. Having a CILS or CELI will help you gain entrance to a university or college, improve your professional prospects and quantify your progress in Italian.

The ILTC language instructors are well familiar with the examination format and are experienced in exam preparation. The exam preparation process, when the Communicative Approach is used (the teacher speaks only Italian, new vocabulary is learned and practiced in numerous speaking activities), includes all main elements of language learning (grammar, vocabulary, listening, writing and speaking). The learning materials are complimented with various audio- and video-materials.

ILTC Italian Conversation Club

It's obvious that it is best to learn Italian in Italy. But what shall you do if you just cannot leave your family, studies and work to go to Italy? ILTC offers a good alternative! Join the ILTC Italian Conversation Club and you will feel like you are in Italy!

Actually Italian Conversation Club lessons do not seem like conventional lessons at all, as you do not learn and drill any complex grammar structures, rules of phonetics and spelling. Nonetheless you will learn a lot, mainly due to the fact that speaking only Italian for two hours in a row will do you only good.

The main goal of the course is to overcome the language barrier, to enrich the functional vocabulary, to practice the learnt grammar constructions, to develop the Italian speaking skills. The lessons with various role games and discussions and debates are highly practical.

The course will suit anyone with Pre-Intermedio Avanzato-2 levels of Italian proficiency.

On successfully finishing the Italian Conversation course you will be able to speak accurately and fluently. The learning materials are carefully selected to suit each group’s level of proficiency. Moreover, the ILTC language instructors supplement the learning materials with newspaper and magazine articles, fiction, audio and video resources as well as Internet materials.
